研究领域

从事特种润滑材料和摩擦化学的研究工作,是我国材料化学和摩擦化学领域的主要学术带头人之一,目前主要从事低摩擦碳基复合薄膜的多尺度构筑及其表/界面行为研究。

个人简历

        薛群基,1942年11月生,1965年山东大学化学系毕业,1967年中科院兰州化学物理研究所研究生毕业。1967年至今在中科院兰州化学物理研究所工作,1986-2003期间历任该所课题组长、研究室主任、副所长、所长。1980-1982年在美国密执安大学访问学者,从事润滑失效的研究。1997年当选为中国工程院院士。现任中科院兰州化学物理研究所以及固体润滑国家重点实验室学术委员会主任。曾任国际摩擦学理事会副主席,亚洲摩擦学理事会主席,中国摩擦学分会主任。
        薛群基是我国材料化学和特种润滑材料领域主要的学术带头人之一,他创建并领导的固体润滑重点实验室(1987-1999年担任实验室主任,1999-至今担任学术委员会主任,实验室在1992年、1997年、2003年和2008年连续四次在国家组织的实验室评估中被评为优秀实验室),创造性地发展了这一交叉学科,主持参与或领导了兰州化物所近二十年来高技术用特种润滑材料工作,为航天、航空等高技术国家重点工程研制提供了20余种关键的润滑材料及润滑技术,主要包括空间润滑材料、超低温润滑材料、海洋环境用润滑与防污降噪涂层以及节能型润滑添加剂和含稀土润滑材料等,使我国在该领域的研究和应用挤身国际先进行列。
        他在聚合物摩擦学、陶瓷磨损与润滑、纳米材料和摩擦学、添加剂摩擦化学和新型材料方面有丰富的积累和较高的学术水平,在国际上首次提出了TZP陶瓷的相变磨损模型,并率先用纳米技术制备自润滑陶瓷材料,1994年在著名的美国高尔登会议上作了大会邀请报告。首次将有机LB膜用于解决空间器件的润滑问题,制备了有机基团修饰的纳米微粒,提出了“分子轴承模型”。聚合物磨损研究方面,提出了聚合物材料磨损的物理模型。在含氮杂环化合物作为润滑添加剂的研究中,发现了氮原子上孤对电子对抗磨性影响的规律。在稀土化合物的研究中,发现了稀土原子4f电子与其润滑性关联的事实。90年代初在国际上首先开展了纳米微粒作为润滑添加剂的工作。近年来在低摩擦类金刚石薄膜研究中,解决了低摩擦类金刚石膜的高应力和与金属弱结合难题,发展了系列水环境、空间以及发动机环境用高性能碳基固体润滑膜,揭示了类金刚石膜的低摩擦成因并建立了其环境敏感性失效模型。上述工作得到了国内外同行的高度评价。 
        薛群基30余次在国内外学术会议上做邀请报告,由于他在陶瓷材料表面摩擦化学方面的成就, 1994年在著名的美国高尔登会议上作了“陶瓷材料摩擦化学”的大会邀请报告(国内摩擦学界唯一的Gordon大会邀请报告);2009年在第四届国际摩擦学大会上做了“中国工业摩擦学进展”的大会主旨报告(国内摩擦学界唯一的国际摩擦学大会主旨报告)。他治学严谨,学术思想活跃,具有开拓创新和为科学事业献身的精神,有良好的科学道德,取得了突出的成绩。他已在国内外重要刊物上发表论文400多篇,完成专著三部,授权国家发明专利30余项,获国家及省部级科研成果奖励25项。薛群基多年来特别重视摩擦学创新团队的建设和青年科技人才的培养,四次获中科院优秀导师称号,培养已毕业博士50余名,毕业博士大多已成为国内外摩擦学研究领域内的学术带头人。2002年获何梁、何利科学技术进步奖,将获得的奖金20万港元全部捐给研究所设立了“兰化所青年创新奖励基金”,至今共奖励青年科技人才14名,奖金额度和匹配经费已超过50万元。2009年获得中国机械工程学会摩擦学分会设立的首届“摩擦学最高成就奖”1967年以来,薛群基一直在科研岗位上努力工作。1988年被选为甘肃省劳动模范;1992年获国家有突出贡献中青年专家称号,并享受政府特殊津贴;2000年5月被评为全国先进工作者;作为中央、国务院邀请的50名专家之一,2001年8月在北戴河受到江总书记、朱总理等中央领导的接见。
