研究领域

主要从事植物多样性演化、系统古植物学、植物地理学、化石及现代植物大数据推断演化历史的研究。近十年来,对我国西南,特别是滇东南深时植物多样性面貌、来源、分异和形成开展了深入研究;构建了豆科化石数据库,并用贝叶斯框架推断了豆科的演化历史;首次在亚洲发现了椿榆属的化石,重建了椿榆属5000万年来的性状和分布格局演化历史,相关的两项研究被选为封面论文,其中性状演化的研究入选JSE青年学者杰出论文;提出滇东南和青藏高原中部在古近纪具有相似的植物区系组成,随着青藏高原的隆升才逐渐分道扬镳;发现了豆科老虎刺属的全球化石新纪录,提出该属在亚洲和非洲的间断分布是通过经由阿拉伯半岛的传播形成的。基于以上成果,在国内外学术会议做口头报告5次。此外,与著名进化生物学家Steven R. Manchester教授保持长期合作关系。
