Research Areas

He is committed to the development of cardiovascular disease detection and management based on nanotechnology and big health data. He is responsible for designing and implementing medical methods for rapid cardiovascular diseases detection that can be widely used among the general population, as well as conducting the corresponding basic research. 

Education

Jeff received his Master Degree and Ph.D. from Georgia Tech and University of Georgia respectively. He is specialized in BioInformatics, Nanomedicine research in cancer therapy and imaging and Big Health Data Research. 

Experience

Jeff was recruited to the Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology,  Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2018.
Work Experience

Currently, he is committed to the development of cardiovascular disease detection and management based on nanotechnology and big health data. He is responsible for designing and implementing medical methods for rapid cardiovascular diseases detection that can be widely used among the general population, as well as conducting the corresponding basic research. 

Jeff worked as software engineer before. 

Teaching Experience

Jeff has taught BioInformatics, Pharmaceutical Science, Anatomy, General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.

Publications

Jeff has published many papers in academic journals such as advanced materials, advanced functional materials, genomic biology, nanoletters, PNAS, therapeutic diagnosis and tomography, and applied for 2 international patents. His peer-reviewed papers have been cited more than thousand times and he also served reviewers for multiple international journals such as the IEEE Journal of Biomedical and Health Informatics, ACS Nanos, BMC BioInformatics and etc....


Research Interests

Jeff is Interested in the experimental biomarker design and AI application in cardiovascular disease field.
