Research Areas

I received PhD degree in structural biology at the University of Science and Technology of China in 2014. Then I went on my career research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in the United States and was promoted to senior research scientist. I joined Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences as an Associate Professor in 2022. In the last 5 years,I have published 7 papers as the first author in Nature, Science Advances, eLife and other journals. My research are mainly focus on ion channels that play a key role in mitochondrial calicium signalling, we have revealed ① the assembly and calcium selectivity of mitochondrial calcium uniporter (MCU), the auxiliary subunit EMRE dependent gating mechanism of MCU, and the gating mechanism of MCU regulated by calcium and MICUs (eLife, 2020). The molecular mechanism of acid-sensitive ion channels sensing extracellular acid signals (Science Advances, 2022).
