Professor Baolian Yi,Chemical and Engineering scientist, mainly engaged in the research and development of conversion of chemical energy and electricity, one of the pioneers in chinese fuel cell research. In 1970s, Prof. Yi leaded the alkaline H2-O2 fuel cell research for space application. In 1980s, applying gas diffusion electrode of fuel cell on electrolysis industry. In 1990s, leading the national key program“technology of fuel cell”,proton exchange membrane fuel cell was greatly developed and independent intellectual property was formed. During the 10th and 11th five-year plan of china, directing the fuel cell system research for city bus and vehicle,the developed fuel cell motor was demonstrated in beijing olympic。
