  1. 在东亚、东南亚热带地区进行新生代古植物学研究工作,以期了解东亚和热带亚洲现代植被、生物多样性的起源与演化过程。

  2. 基于叶片鉴定植物,以期解决现实(现生树木和化石鉴定)和理论(叶脉结构、角质层的系统发育相关性与生态相关性)问题;

  3. 近年来主要研究热带亚洲的新生代植物化石,材料来自云南、越南、泰国等地。
