杨尚斌博士，中国科学院大学教授，中国科学院国家天文台研究员，博士生导师。2004年获得武汉大学物理学学士学位。2009年获得中国科学院天体物理学博士学位，2009-2010年德国马克斯普朗克研究所访问学者，2010年起在中国科学院国家天文台怀柔太阳观测基地从事研究工作。研究方向为太阳磁场拓扑结构的观测和理论研究。其研究结果揭示了太阳活动区的磁通量和磁螺度的定量关系，发现了活动周大尺度的磁螺度振荡特征。建立的三维空间相对磁螺度的计算模型，被《新千年太阳物理学》命名为Columb-Yang方法，解决了本领域三十多年的开放边界磁矢势规范性求解难题，是国际上有代表性和影响力的计算模型。2014年该模型被列为瑞士空间科学学院“磁螺度计算工作组”的参考模型。2016年获得国际空间科学组织（COSPAR）的青年科学家杰出论文奖。2019年入选中国科学院青年创新促进会。中国天文学会第十四、十五届理事会太阳与日球专业委员会副主任。中国科学院先导专项A类太阳极轨对偶探测项目负责人（2016-2020），中国太阳极轨天文台SPO项目发起人之一，中国天文学领域首批国家自然科学基金委原创探索项目基金获得者（2022-2025），科技部重点研发项目课题“太阳极区探测中磁场、速度场的低噪声成像探测关键技术研究“课题负责人（2022-2027）。国家天文台首届青年学术交流大赛亚军、中国科学院大学教学科研大学领雁银奖、中科院教育教学成果二等奖。
