(一)基础研究
  1、炎症小体活化及调控的分子机理
  NLRP3炎症小体能被种类众多而相关性不大的刺激物激活,包括铝盐、硅颗粒、流感病毒、ATP等,这提示其上游有众多的调控分子。我们将通过多种技术手段寻找调控炎症小体活化的新分子,并对这些分子的作用机理进行深入研究。
  2、炎症小体在自身免疫性疾病中的作用机理
  已有研究发现NLRP3炎症小体跟系统性红斑狼疮和结肠炎等疾病的发生有关。本实验室将深入研究NLRP3在这两种疾病中发挥作用的分子和细胞机制,以及天然免疫系统影响获得性免疫反应的机理。
  3、炎症小体在抗感染中的作用机理
  作为天然免疫系统的重要组成部分,炎症小体在对抗病原微生物感染过程中发挥重要作用。已有研究发现NLRP3炎症小体在抗流感病毒、腺病毒、白色念珠菌等病原体感染中作用非常关键。我们结合本所病原微生物研究的优势,探索NLRP3在抗重要病原微生物感染过程中的功能及相关机制。

(二)应用研究
  1、炎症小体的药理调控
  NLRP3炎症小体参与众多的生理病理过程,因此寻找合适的药物调控炎症小体具有重要的治疗价值。我们将探索多种药物对NLRP3的调控作用,并通过适当的改造以开发对炎症小体的干预策略。
  2、基于NLR信号的疫苗佐剂开发
