Research Interests

My research interest is to understand the mechanisms by which plants adapt to the desert environment and the biogeographic patterns of plant traits. The two specific topics are: 1) the ecological importance of seed mucilage in the adaptation of desert species to the desert environment; 2) the relationships between climatic conditions and biogeographic pattern of Artemisia species in northern China.
