Research Areas

Suli Wang received her PhD in Physical Chemistry from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP), Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2007. She serves as a research professor and the Leader of Common & Core Technology Research Group in Alcohol Fuel Cell and Hybrid Power Sources Ceter.

She has over ten years of research experiences in direct alcohol fuel cells (DAFCs) and metal air batteries. She has been responsible for over 20 projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China, National “973” Program and “863” Program, National Defense Basic Scientific Research, et al.

She has published more than 80 papers and 140 patents and was awarded the First Prize of Dalian Technological Invention Award (2013, ranking No.2), the First Prize of Liaoning Natural Sciences Award (2013, ranking No.4) and the Second Prize of National Natural Sciences Award (2014, ranking No.4).

Research Interests

Research Interest:

1. Electrochemistry: Interfacial phenomena of three-phase region in GDE by means of electrochemical methods, spectroscopy techniques.

2. Chemical Engineering: The reactions and mass transfer in GDE, the fabrication and characterization of electrodes and MEA.

3. New electrolyte materials: Preparation and characterization of novle alcohol-resistant PEM, PBI-based high-temperature PEM and alkaline electrolyte membrane.
