Taxonomy, DNA barcoding, molecular phylogeny and biogeography of tropical and subtropical flora, especially the orchid tree genus Bauhinia and the teh rosewood genus Dalbergia of the legume family; Evolution of heterostyly in flowering plants and evolution of plant breeding system.
