Research Areas

Over 20 years of R&D experience of remote sensing & geographic information applications in smart cities, including overall architectural designs, system developments, algorithm developments, and demonstrations.

Strong ability in multidisciplinary innovation and development, and research on multi-source data fusion. Strong experience in applying remote sensing spatial information technology to environmental protection, disaster warning, smart agriculture, etc.

Deep understanding of combining remote sensing information technology with deep learning and knowledge graph technologies to improve disaster emergency response, decision-making process, and efficiency of rescue work.

 1/2019 -present, Professor at National Remote Sensing Application Engineering Technology Research Center in AIR of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing.

Lead a research and development team and devoted to the intelligent extraction of remote sensing information and application research of emergency decision support program. At meantime, presided over Beijing Science and Technology Plan Project: Unconventional emergency rapid collaborative sensing and emergency site information acquisition, aiming to provide a rapid decision support for forest fires, ground disasters and other disaster emergency responses.

3/2016 – 12/2018, Professor at National Remote Sensing Application Engineering Technology Research Center in AIR of Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. Presided over the National Science and Technology Support Program, new smart community safety management researches and application demonstrations.
