Research Areas

1. New materials for selective catalytic oxidation

    To study activation mechanism of small molecule, such as O2 and NH3, new support and catalyst. and mechanism of C-H and C-O bond activation and conversion. 

2. Catalytic oxidative cleavage of biomass

    To explore new method and route for synthesis of aldehydes, acids and esters via catalytic oxidative cleavage of native biomass and lignocelluse. 

3. Biomass derived monomers and polymers

    To investigate new catalytic method for synthsis of monomers, such as diols, dialdehydes, and diacids from biomass derived platform chemicals. And to exploit novel biomass derived functional materials, such as novel polyesters.
