Research Areas

Prof. Tianfu Liu is interested in the design, syntheses, and properties of porous periodic frameworks including Hydrogen-Bonded Organic Frameworks (HOFs) and Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). With the guidance of structural chemistry, we seek to explore new stable porous frameworks, achieve increased understanding of HOFs and MOFs chemistry, and explore their potential applications. The research activities span the area of heterogeneous catalysis, bio-related application, and gas/liquid phase adsorption.
