Education

Experience

Changzhi Li received his Ph.D. degree in 2009 from Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics (DICP) under the supervision of Prof. Zongbao (kent) Zhao, then he joined Prof. Tao Zhang's group where he was promoted to an associated professor in 2012, and to a professor in 2019. In 2013, he won "Min Enze Energy and Chemical Engineering Award" jointly established by Chinese Academy of Engineering and Sinopec Group, for his contribution to the area of “Catalytic conversion of biomass”. He also won First Prize of Dalian Technological Invention in 2014, and Second Prize of Natural Science Award of Liaoning province in 2018. He has published 70+ papers on international journals including Chem. Rev., Nat. Commun., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Energy Environ. Sci., Chem. Sci., etc. He has been invited as a young Editorial Board member of Chinese Journal of Catalysis since 2017, and as a young Committee member of Fine Chemicals, Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China since 2019. his current research focuses on the catalytic depolymerization of lignin and the production of value-added chemicals from bio-based compounds.
