Research Areas

Dr. Wang’s research interests involve geochronology, thermochronology and their applications to various problems in geochemistry and geology. Improving geochronologic methods and capabilities is another focus. Currently Wang is researching into chronology and petrogenesis of continental magmatism, Quaternary volcanism dating and development of the standards in 40Ar/39Ar dating. (U-Th)/He Geochronology is developed and relative reseaches are new foci.
