Hongchang Li, is a senior principal investigator at the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, graduated from Beijing Normal University with bachelor degree in 1999, obtained a PhD degree from Institute of Genetics and Developmental Biology Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006, worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Purdue University between 2006 and 2010. Dr. Li has developed strong expertise in genetics, molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry and made great contribution to research in cell cycle control and asymmetric cell division. Currently, he is focused on discovery of carcinogenesis mechanisms using cell biological and biochemistry technologies. The research field includes cancer signaling pathways and cell division control. The long-term goal is to discover and develop novel antitumor drugs.
