Research Areas

1. Chemical biology study: To discover new drug targets and new biological mechanisms, our lab mainly focuses on several signaling pathway related with viral infection, hepatoma and breast cancer, including interferon-mediated JAK/STAT pathway, aromatase-mediated estrogen biosynthesis, microRNA signaling pathway and ubiquitin-26S proteasome pathway by using natural products or synthetic compounds as probes. We also conduct structure-activity relationship study to optimize the bioactive compounds and isolate their cellular targets.

2. Develop new labeling methods to quantitatively observe the dynamic distribution of cell membrane receptors and new tools to disrupt protein-protein interactions.

3. Elucidate the chemical constituents of Traditional Chinese Medicines and their biological mechanism for anti-inflammation and antiosteoporosis.
