具有生物学、生物化学、药物化学及中药学等学科领域的教育背景及研究经历，现工作于中国科学院新疆理化技术研究所植物资源化学重点实验室，当前研究领域涉及到民族药质量标准化、微生物学、药物化学、生物技术、药品食品微生物检验检测技术以及新药开发中的关键技术研究。
