研究领域

从事全球变化压力下森林生态系统的响应及适应性研究。近年来开展了南亚热带森林CNP循环过程和土壤主要温室气体通量对氮沉降的响应研究,内容包括:森林土壤主要温室气体(CO2N2OCH4)通量、生物固氮、养分(NP)循环、微生物和真菌群落组成与丰度、生物酶活性、AOAAOB、高通量DNA基因测序等。发现:1连续9-13年长期氮添加处理后,鼎湖山3个森林(本研究依托的样地)土壤呼吸均呈现无显著变化-显著降低-无显著变化的三阶段格局,氮添加减少土壤CO2排放的效率为5.80-13.13Mg CO2 Mg N-1,在第二阶段效率最高(Zheng et al. 2022, Nature Geoscience, 通讯作者)2氮沉降显著降低南亚热带季风阔叶林土壤呼吸和氧化吸收CH4的能力、促进其土壤N2O的排放,影响程度取决于土壤N状况及森林演替阶段;3)结合凋落物分解速率,证明了氮沉降是我国南亚热带成熟林土壤可持续积累有机碳的可能原因之一;4)揭示了氮沉降可增加南亚热带地区豆科人工林(大叶相思)土壤N2O排放,而适量磷肥施用可缓解由大气N沉降引起的N2O温室潜能5)首次提出“传统的林下模拟氮沉降实验方法绕过了林冠对N的吸收、吸附、转化等截留过程,可能高估了N素对土壤及灌层生理生态过程的影响程度”(Zhang et al., 2015, Scientific Reports)同时,研究发现与林冠施氮相比,林下施氮可能高估了温带森林生物固氮潜能(高估了3.8~4.7倍),而对热带/亚热带森林无显著差异。
