My major during DICP is molecule reaction dynamics. We use Redberg H-atom "Tagging" method to detect H product from crossed molecular beam experiment. So I know a little about related fields: reaction mechanism, spectrum, mass spectrometry, optical frequency mixing, etc.
Suffered a lot by terrible dye lasers, I can design and manufacture several kinds of lasers now: injection-seeded nanosecond single longitudinal mode OPO/OPA, grating based OPO/OPA, pulsed dye lasers and CW diode lasers. I also want to make a high power CW OPO. I'm interested in designing small machines and try to make them useful.
In the next few years, I'll attempt to build a gas-surface reaction machine to do some research, which is a new field for me.
