主要从事早期动物起源和寒武纪大爆发时期的古生态学、古生物学、地层学及其环境背景的研究。工作重点集中在中国寒武纪特异埋藏化石库(如中国澄江生物群、关山生物群等)的古生态学、埋藏学和系统古生物学研究。
