MAJOR RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research focuses on the effects of urbanization on the fate of organic pollutants in the atmospheric environment. Recent researches include: a) the contributions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and their condensable oxidation products to the formation of secondary organic aerosols (SOA) and ozone; b) organic tracers, e.g. organic acids, levoglucosan, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), Nitro-PAH, n-alkanes and WSOC, for source apportionment of PM2.5 in coastal cities of China; c) source identification of carbonaceous aerosols by stable carbon isotope analysis; d) pollution characteristics and deposition flux of atmospheric Hg in China.
