Research Areas

Dr.Cui works on the interdisciplinary research of Virology and Nanobiology. Current research focuses on two directions: 1) Imaging important processes of virus-host interactions in live cells and animals using nano/molecular probes and advanced optical imaging techniques. The scientific objective of this direction is to reveal the infection and pathogenic mechanism of human virus (such as HIV, Influenza virus) in vivo and in real time; 2) Developing functional nano-apparatus with viral elements. The scientific objective of this direction is to construct nano-bioapparatus with viral nano-elements for important biomedical applications.
