研究领域

高能所AMS项目负责人,并担任高能所在CERN的工作联络人,主要参加丁肇中先生领导的阿尔法磁谱仪(AMS)项目。AMS是一个大型的国际合作,由来自16个国家和地区的60多个研究所的600多位科学家组成。AMS是在国际空间站运行的粒子物理探测器,可以对带电宇宙线进行精确测量,其主要物理目标是寻找反物质,间接探测暗物质,精确测量宇宙线的成分和能谱以研究宇宙线起源。AMS已经在太空连续运行超过十年,获取了超过1800亿宇宙线事例AMS实验的结果把宇宙线实验的测量精度由传统的约30%提高到1%的量级,有一系列意料之外的物理结果,所有的实验结果都发表在物理学顶级杂志《物理评论快报》和《物理评论》。带领团队在CERN参加AMS国际合作,在宇宙线正电子和反质子测量以及宇宙线原子核测量中做出了重要贡献,并将继续进行暗物质起源和宇宙线起源的研究。

工作经历

2001年开始主要参加华人诺贝尔奖获得者丁肇中先生领导的国际空间站上的阿尔法磁谱仪(Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer 简称AMS)实验。

AMS探测器研制阶段(2011年之前),多次前往法国安阿西、意大利比萨和瑞士日内瓦的欧洲核子中心(CERN)进行合作交流,参加AMS电磁量能器的研制和性能测试。

20129月开始,常驻CERN,作为中科院高能所AMS项目组在CERN的工作协调人,领导项目组的数据分析工作,所带领的团队在暗物质寻找的物理分析中做出重要贡献,在合作组中有重要的地位。

AMS实验的最重要物理目标之一——暗物质间接探测的研究方面,各数据分析题目,宇宙线正电子比例、宇宙线正负电子流强、宇宙线总电子流强和宇宙线反质子流强和反质子比率的测量,AMS实验在《物理评论快报》发表了7篇文章,其中本人所带领的团队都完成了分析,得到的结果被文章采纳或者作为重要的交叉检验结果。

在实验运行方面,作为暗物质探测最重要的子探测器——电磁量能器的运行负责人,负责协调电磁量能器的运行,解决运行中出现的问题。

在物理数据的刻度和重建方面,负责电磁量能器数据的刻度和重建,对整个实验暗物质探测的系统误差控制方面做出了不可替代的贡献。

2016年开始还担任了中国科学院高能物理研究所驻CERN的联系人。

 

期间还做了部分中微子实验——大亚湾实验和地下暗物质直接探测实验的工作,在大亚湾实验初期建立起了液闪性能测量的装置,在暗物质直接探测实验中完成了一个晶体暗物质探测装置的模型设计。

 

20003-20016月到意大利交流,参加了诺贝尔奖获得者Carlo Rubbia领导的中微子实验——ICARUS实验,参加了探测器的研制和数据重建工作。

 

1995年到20003月,参加了北京Tau/Charm工厂项目预研(主要进行了CsI(Tl)晶体的性能研究)工作,北京谱仪BES的数据分析工作,用于CERNCMS电磁量能器的钨酸铅晶体性能研究工作,参加了唐孝威院士跟张杰院士合作的项目可控核聚变中子打靶项目研究(负责处理实验数据)
