Research Areas

Since 1999, our group has been ongoing to develop novel conjugated organic/polymeric materials in the field of functional materials and flat panel display towards the potential application for organic and polymeric light-emitting Diode (OLED/PLED) and chemosensors. Our major work is focused on: (1) Single polymer for white electroluminescence; (2) Three primary color (Blue, Green and Red---RGB) polymers with dopant/host strategy and molecular dispersion feature; (3) Solution processable phosphorescent iridium dendrimers and inexpensive copper (I) complex materials; (4) conjugated polymer chemosensors for ion detection; (5) water-soluble conjugated polymers for highly selective and sensitive fluorescence sensors.
