宿兵,中国科学院昆明动物研究所研究员,中国科学院知识创新工程学科带头人,博士生导师。1989年7月毕业于武汉大学生物系,1996年7月获中国科学院研究生院理学博士学位。1997-2001年在美国德克萨斯大学修斯顿人类遗传学中心做博士后研究,2001-2005年在美国辛辛那提大学医学院任Assistant Professor。2001年中国科学院“****”项目引进人才,2006年获国家自然科学基金杰出青年科学基金资助。2009年入选“新世纪百千万人才工程”国家级人选,2010年获“谈家祯生命科学创新奖”。

从事灵长类大脑演化的遗传学机制以及现代人类起源、迁徙与适应性进化的遗传学研究。主持国家重点基础研究发展计划(973)、国家自然科学基金杰出青年科学基金、国家自然科学基金重点项目、中国科学院“****”项目、中国科学院知识创新工程重要方向项目等多项国家和部门科研项目,在Science、Nature、Nature Reviews Genetics、PNAS、American Journal of Human Genetics、Genome Research和Molecular Biology and Evolution等国际核心学术刊物上发表各类研究论文150多篇。在“东亚现代人的起源与迁徙”、“灵长类大脑演化的遗传学机制”与“东亚现代人群的适应性进化”研究中取得了一系列创新性成果。研究成果获得国家自然科学二等奖1项、教育部科技进步一等奖1项、中国科学院自然科学一等奖1项、云南省自然科学一等奖5项

研究领域

1、灵长类比较基因组与人类起源的遗传机制


   人类区别于非人灵长类最为显著的特征是人类发达的大脑。大脑容量急剧增加和认知能力的巨大飞跃是人类起源的关键所在。然而,导致人类这一根本性变化的遗传学机制尚不清楚。宿兵研究员课题组的主要研究方向为灵长类大脑功能演化的基因组与遗传学基础研究,主要采用比较基因组学、生物信息学与功能实验相结合的研究方法,通过系统研究在灵长类中枢神经系统中发挥重要生物学功能的基因、基因家族和染色体区域在基因序列、选择性剪接、非编码RNA表达调控、基因表达谱、DNA甲基化谱等不同层次的变异模式,建立基因结构、基因表达与调控、表观遗传修饰等不同层次的分子进化模式同灵长类大脑功能演化的关系,确定在灵长类大脑功能演化过程中起关键作用的基因和基因家族,尤其是在人类起源中对人类智力发挥重要作用的基因和基因家族,从而揭示灵长类大脑功能演化的基因组与遗传学基础。 

2、东亚现代人的起源、迁徙与适应性进化 

  灵长类大脑功能演化与人类的起源与迁徙是两个密切相关的研究课题,人类从非洲起源以后在向其它地区扩散的过程中仍然发生着对温度、太阳紫外线辐射、高原缺氧等环境因素以及食物结构改变、疾病等各种因素的适应性进化。东亚地区幅员辽阔、人口密集、南北纬度跨度大,是研究人类群体遗传多样性和适应性进化最重要的地区之一。(1)通过系统分析人类mtDNA和Y-染色体DNA、以及化石和遗骸古DNA的遗传变异在东亚地区人群中的分布模式,探索东亚现代人起源的方式,重建其史前迁徙的路线,了解人类群体遗传结构的历史变迁及其与人群文化和语言分化的关系。(2)通过系统分析诸如温度、太阳紫外线辐射、高原缺氧等环境因素指标与人群基因组变异之间的相关性,探讨人群在史前迁徙过程中对环境、饮食等各类因素的适应性进化的遗传学机制,为癌症等人类重大疾病的流行病学研究提供重要信息。
